Mary came to Clark County with her husband, Jeremiah Jacobs. They came as a family unit. Jeremiah's father, also Jeremiah, was about 52 when he arrived in Louisville.
Mary and her husband were both in their late 20's or early 30's when they started a family in Clark County. Mary had four children (some sources suggest five) before dying in 1818. There is no evidence that Jeremiah re-married.
Mary was the only Pinchback to come to Indiana. The rest of her family stayed in North Carolina or moved to South Carolina.
At least seven of Jeremiah's siblings also came to Clark County creating a large presence in Southern Indiana.
